• Either the “save testimonial” or the approve “checkbox” are not working. I place a check in the approve box, click “save testimonial” and yet nothing updates. In other words, the testimonial continues to show as not approved and therefore won’t display on our reviews page. I am running version 4.0.7 with WP 3.9.1

Just checked my website and my sandbox and everything seems to be working fine.

When you approve a testimonial does it change to approved in the Testimonial Edit panel listing?

Do you have a cache working. It may be your cache.

I’ve cleared cache, deactivated all plugins, all to no avail. Any other ideas are appreciated.

If the previous testimonial has the same content as the one you are trying to save it won’t update.

    What is your site address?

Just sent you a testimonial, it said it sent successfully. Did you get it?

Hi, no we did not receive the testimonial. We received an email indicating that a testimonial had been submitted, but nothing is showing up on WordPress admin side.

I also tried submitting a testimonial and same thing happened.

Sorry you are having this problem.
Can you create and save a testimonial from the Edit Testimonials panel?

One other question. Have you done anything to change the prefix of your database tables?. Some security plugins will do this?

I am having the same issue now, the exact same thing. What was the solution here?

I don’t know if MaximumScuba solved it.
It’s been a difficult one to track down.

I got two testimonials this morning with no problems so the problem is not consistent.

I suspect the problem is the one that emmape was having on a more recent thread:

You have upgraded from version 3.20.6 to 4.0.8 which is two database changes, so the database is not configured correctly. If you had upgraded all versions there would not have been a problem. My bad!

The only solution at this point will be to deactivate and uninstall the plugin, by doing so you will remove the table, and lose your testimonials. Then install the latest version of Testimonial Basics. Make sure you copy them over to notepad or something like that, so that you can re-enter them.

Sorry to have caused you this grief. Next time, ensure you implement each update, as it is always tested against the previous version, especially if the database table structure changes.

    Just had the same problem.

I guess I managed to solve it by checking the last item in

Testimonial Basics Options > Input Forms: General Input Options

In German it is “Erfordern Lage Eingabe” (in english it might be “Requires long input”)

I’m not sure what you are trying to say? Please start a new thread as it seems your problem is related to the translation of Testimonial Basics?
