Approval mails not sent

    Hello,

    I really like this simple subscription system. Well, or would, if it worked.

    I’m trying to get this running but I cannot subscribe as guest. No confirmation mail is sent, but the unsubscribe mail is (although clicking the link does not delete the email from the list but sets it to “marked”).

    Mails on posts/updates for registered users works. But since I don’t want people to register, this is a game breaker.

    I’m on the latest WP version and PHP 8 (I did try 7.4 and 7.3 tho), schedule is set to 3 minutes.

    As it turned out, if you are logged in as an admin, any email you enter will be approved. It’s documented, I didn’t see it. Anyway, it works now.
