I use the Mailpoet plugin to generate automatic newsletters from my latest posts.

I noticed that you don’t seem to apply the wptexturize() function to the post content. This means that dashes aren’t turned into hyphens, fake quotes aren’t turned into curly quotes etc.

It would would be fantastic if you could run the content through that function to make my newsletters typographically beautiful as well.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that while you’re at it, it would be great if you could apply the same to the post title.

But I’m pretty sure you’ve already figured that out.

    Hi,

We’ll definitely consider this for the next version of MailPoet. However, most email clients support very few fonts, so we stray away from allowing them.

    Thanks!

    That’s great news!

To clarify, wptexturize() is just about converting special characters, not about changing fonts.

I just checked and I’m happy to confirm that the characters in question are supported throughout all of Mailpoet’s default fonts.

    Thank you ??
