Apply domain mapping to wp-admin?

I have a multisite install correctly serving two sites on different domains. Let’s call them domain1.com and domain2.com. domain1.com is the primary domain that we converted from a single site install into multisite. We then added domain2.com later on.

When I go to domain2.com/wp-admin/ I am redirected to domain2.domain1.com/wp-admin/

Also when editing a post, the slug url and preview button are going to domain2.domain1.com rather than to domain2.com

Any ideas how I can solve this?
