• I have a question about application keys for a user. I need one to connect to my application server. Before I still had a 5.X version (i don’t know the exact version anymore) of WordPress. I have updated to 6.2.2. Now I need to set up a new “workflow user” because I deleted the old one irrevocably. But with that I also lost the application key. Previously, the plugin was used for application passwords. Since this oportinity is now installed in WordPress by default, it should also work without any plugin. However, I have the problem to press create, but the field where the application key should be displayed remains empty.

  • Hello expete,
It seems like you’re facing a problem with generating an application key in WordPress after updating to version 6.2.2. The application password functionality is now built into WordPress by default, eliminating the need for a separate plugin. However, you are experiencing an issue where the field for the application key is not displaying after clicking the “Create” button.

To troubleshoot this issue, you can try the Clear cache and cookies, Disable conflicting plugins, Switch to using a default theme,
Check file permissions, Verify WordPress version, etc.

after trying these steps if you faced this problem, you can contact the plugin and theme developer.

I have the problem to press create, but the field where the application key should be displayed remains empty.

Just to be sure I understand your problem well:

    1) Did you enter a name into the “New Application Password Name” text field before pressing the “Add New Application Password” button?

    2) And is the section marked with a red rectangle in the screenshot below the “field” that you say is empty? If not, please provide a full-page screenshot so I can better understand what you’re dealing with.

    Standing by.
