Application emails not sending since WP 6.6 update and your fix

To explain the problem further,

We use WP SMTP PRO which modifies the sender email address so when a candidate applies for a job, it gets sent using the admin email address and not the candidate email address meaning the employer never receives the email address of the applicant.

An example of the log is

You can see the from name is the candidate but their email address is the admin email of the site.

Basically, WPJM itself isn’t doing the actual sending of email, so when it’s not being sent/received, there’s probably an issue somewhere else.
