Apple Pay With Stripe Connect

    Hi

    I am using stripe connect for a food business and I would like to implement Apple Pay.

    Under the Stripe Connect Plugin there is no option to tick Apple Pay / Google Pay etc, like there is under the “Stripe Credit Card” section, which I have not enabled.

    Is it possible to get apple pay to work with connected accounts and do I need to enable another part of the plugin?

    I already have the apple pay file hosted the UI does not reflect this.

    Very sorry if this is not clear, this is my first time using WP, WooCommerce and Stripe.

    Hey there!

    It sounds like you’re running into trouble activating Apple Pay using the WooCommerce Stripe plugin.

    The options for Apple Pay and Google Pay are both lumped together under “Payment request buttons” – here’s how to get set up:

    There are a few things that you’ll need to do specifically for Apple Pay, which are outlined in those docs.

    Question? Can you see the phrase below in your Stripe settings section?
    location: Woocommerce > Settings > Payments > Stripe > Click Manage Button?

    Payment Request Buttons:
    __ Enable Payment Request Buttons. (Apple Pay/Chrome Payment Request API)
    By using Apple Pay, you agree to Stripe and Apple’s terms of service.

    Once that checkbox is clicked it’s setup to appear on the single product page next to “Add to Cart” but only if you’re looking at it with an Apple Wallet enabled device. On Chrome desktop/Android phone it shows the Google Pay button instead (if enabled by the user).

    The Apple Pay button will ONLY show up if you have turned their functions IN your Stripe.com account. Settings > Apple Pay (there will be some directions to follow to enroll in Apple Pay)

    The google pay is already enabled through the stripe plugin, nothing to set up on stripe for that.

    Hi Guys

    Thank you so much for replying to my questions.

    So I am using “Stripe Connect” not the normal “Stipe” tab. When I go to “Manage” my “Stripe Connect” Tab there is no option to tick the “Payments Request Button.”

    When I enable the normal “Stripe” tab and click the “Payments Request Buttons” check box the Apple Pay button showed up but it did not work.

    Turns out I had to add another Stripe Webhook to get this to work. However, I am still not sure If I can have both as I am still just getting familiar with Stripe.

    Hey there @jackbkennedy – thanks for that information around Stripe Connect!

    Our WooCommerce Stripe plugin doesn’t offer support for Stripe Connect:

    If you’re seeing options for Stripe Connect, then you’re using a different Stripe plugin. I’d recommend taking a look on the wp-admin > Plugins page to find more info about the plugin, including the developer. Once you know the developer, you’ll know where to ask for further support.

    If you’re having trouble finding that info, please share a copy of your site’s System Status. You can find it via WooCommerce > Status.
    Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response. If you prefer, you can remove information that identifies your site – that’s just the URLs at the very top of the log. We’ll be able to see more about which plugins you’re using.
