Apple Pay support

If you’ve enabled Apple Pay in your WooCommerce settings and completed the domain registration in the Braintree portal, you’ve already done most of the setup. The certificate is typically the final step, but it’s not always immediately necessary.

Apple Pay can function without it for a short time, but completing this step is important to ensure continued service. The certificate verifies your domain and secures the communication between your site and Apple’s servers.

Can you point to some doco that describes why the certs are needed and why and when it works without them? It costs $150 per year for an Apple developer account to get certs.

Can you also point to some doco on where and how Apply Pay activates on Cart or Checkout? As an Android user I am having trouble with testing and was surprised by these orders appearing with the Apple Pat method.

While Apple Pay can function without it for a short time, it’s not a long-term solution and could lead to issues down the line. The Apple Pay button should automatically appear in your Cart and Checkout pages if the customer uses an Apple Pay-enabled device and browser.
