    Hello NF Graphic Design

Thank you for your contacting us.

Could you tell me whether this is a new site and you are setting up Apple Pay or Apple Pay was working fine before and now you are facing a problem?

May I ask what you see in the .well-known folder and why are you trying to delete it?
This contains a required file to verify your domain.
For more details about domain verification, check this guide.

The guide contains instructions to check for logs at WooCommerce > System Status > Logs.
If you find any log entry related to Apple Pay, share that log with me.

Looking forward to your response. ??

    Best regards.

    Hi Zubair,

This is a new site setting up woocommerce and square.

in the .well-known folder there is a file named: apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association from may 29, 2004. I thought if it was deleted it would generate a new one and apple pay would verify and work. It is back now.

I tried turning off digital wallets and turning back on.

I just enabled logging for square so currently there is no log entries related to apple pay, I will check again in awhile if you need me to.

    Hello NF Graphic Design

    Thank you for your reply.

You are correct about this step.
The old file must be deleted so the plugin can generate a new file.
When you say “It is back now”, do you mean the old file is back or the new file is back?

I suggest deleting the file and then deactivating and activating the plugin.
Then follow these steps to configure the Apple Pay.
    https://woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-square/payment-settings/#section-6

Please note that the verification file in the well-known folder will be created automatically.
It if does not create after these steps, let me know and we will check any potential conflict that might be causing the issue.

You must have this log entry about domain verification.
Otherwise, domain verification has not been completed and Apple Pay will not work.

Looking forward to your reply. ??

    Best regards.

I deleted the file in the .well-known folder, deactivated the plugin and reactivated, once I turned of digital wallet and turned it back on again the new file generated. In the logs it said the domain was verified. However the apple pay button did not ever show on either my mac computer or iphone.

I believe for now we will just turn off the digital wallets, but would have been nice to have it as an option.

Just to be sure, where is the store located? This feature is available if your store is in the?United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Ireland, France, Spain, or Australia. Once you turn on digital wallets, your customers will see Apple Pay and Google Pay buttons when they visit the product, cart, and checkout pages of your store, depending on what’s available to them. Documentation linked here, for reference.

I believe for now we will just turn off the digital wallets, but would have been nice to have it as an option.

How possible is that the Apple Pay and/or Google Pay options are removed from either the Single Product, Cart, or Checkout pages? Further details on this, at the page linked here.

Moreover, could you share the site’s URL, so that we can test from our end?

    Thank you

Hi, the shop is in Canada.

    This is the URL: https://www.vankoji.com/shop/

    Hey, @nf-graphic-design!

I believe for now we will just turn off the digital wallets, but would have been nice to have it as an option.

I checked your website now and was not able to see neither Apple Pay nor Google Pay.
Can you please confirm if you deactivated it or not? ??

Were/are you able to see Google Pay?

Can you please share a screenshot of what you see on WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > Square?
I recommend using https://snipboard.io. You can share the direct link to the image as a response to this topic.
You can share more than one to make sure we can see the whole page.

In the logs it said the domain was verified. However the apple pay button did not ever show on either my mac computer or iphone.

Are you able to check if the issue persists with a different theme? A default one such as Storefront, for example.

It is also possible that another plugin is causing issues, but let’s go one step at a time.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Have a wonderful day!
