I’ve installed the latest version of the strip plugin, and set up the Apple Pay in my Stripe account, and the Apple Pay button did appear and I was able to easily complete a few transactions. However, I noticed a few things.

I have woocommerce configured to not allow guest checkout. Everyone must have an account and be logged in in order to place an order. However, when logged out, if I used Apple Pay, the order is still successful, and the order shows that a guess completed the checkout, even though the email address is registered to a user account on my site.

I tried another transaction, this time I was logged in to a user account, and it still completed the order as a guest. When viewing the transaction in stripe, the charge was not connected to a stripe cus_ account, even though there is a cus_ account with that email address.

In this same transaction, when the Apple Pay window appeared, I tried adding a new address, and when I completed the checkout, only the billing address for the transaction was filled in. The shipping address was blank. This will interfere from the order being imported into my shipping platform. I also have several custom shipping rules applied, and I fear that if I have Apple Pay as an option, those custom shipping rules will be ignored.

Is all of this normal/expected behavior?

So this is the first addition/revision of adding Apple Pay. What you stated can/may be added in the future as enhancements. That is in regards to guest/logged in customers.

For your shipping address question. Can you please give more details and perhaps step by step to replicate so I can clearly see what the issue is?

Same happens for me, also it screws up the order numbers.

I’m currently at 268xx for order numbers, but Apple Pay not only somehow got a Guest Purchase but the order number is 279xx.

I wonder what happens next month when regular purchases will be at the 279xx mark… ??

Using WooCommerce 3.0.3 and Stripe 3.1.6.
