    Alternatively the customer doesn’t have to opt in actively but he has to be shown a message and to click the express payment button after this again to proceed.

    I think this will be the easiest way to achieve what you want. You can copy the Stripe plugin’s product page template to your theme and add any kind of terms, GDPR language, etc before the express buttons.

    Here is a guide on how to add the custom template to your theme.

    The template name is templates/product/payment-methods.php
