Express checkout works in cart and checkout pages, it works both logged in and logged out.

While logged out it asks for login if the Apple pay account email already exists in the database.

However if I try to do a purchase while being a guest with Apple pay from the product page, and the Apple pay account email already exists in WP, after I click Pay from the Apple Pay overlay, I get an error on the site. “We were unable to process your order, please try again.”

The expectation would be that if the email from Apple Pay already exists in WP, it asks me to log in first like in cart/checkout.

  • Hey there, @acamou! Thanks for contacting us. I’m happy to help you.

It is possible this error is caused by a conflict.

But before running the conflict test, I’d like to understand your site properly. Please share with us the necessary information below for us to investigate the issue further:

System Status Report which you can find via WooCommerce > Status > Get system report > Copy for support.
Fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs. Then you can use the selector to search for Fatal Errors.
You could copy and paste your reply here or paste it via https://gist.github.com/ and send the link here.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Have a wonderful day!

    Here is the status report

    https://gist.github.com/acamou/97f97c84b8a2fcbd7bbe39045e2a30d2

For fatal errors the latest file I see is from Feb 19 with no updates. So I guess there are no recent entries for it. However we did some tests yesterday and today that had this error for this specific case and nothing was logged in fatal errors.

    Hi @acamou,

Thank you for the additional details. From the System Report I can see your theme is overriding the templates for the products page (and the mini cart). https://prnt.sc/LFz9SxIQFpVi

With this in mind, the first step of troubleshooting would be to test this with a default theme like Storefront, and then check to see if the issue is still present. If that resolves the issue, you’ll want to get in touch with your theme’s developer and see if they have an update or fix for you.
    ?
If that doesn’t work, we can look into plugins, I see there are 42 active plugins on your site and one of them may be interfering here, too. But from what you described I’m more inclined to test the theme first!
    ?
Please let us know about your findings.

    All the best,
    Omar
