I installed the AWS plugin, but as you can see from the URL https://shawldawls.com/?s=fleece doesn’t have any search parameters after it. The search resultspage this theme shows is ugly. But if I add some parameters to the end of the URL I get the page that I want: https://shawldawls.com/?s=fleece&post_type=product.

How do I append that post_type parameter to search results URLs?

I have already tried adding a function in my functions.php file and I have already tried to simply add <input type=”hidden” value=”post” name=”product” id=”product” /> to the searchform.php file

Neither worked. But maybe I added something wrong?

We are using the X PRO theme by Themeco and their native search function, not the AWS widget.
