Appears to break with 4.7

  • This was working for, minus a few things that I haven’t had time to gather and reply to here, but with the latest WP update 4.7, it seems to stop working. I think the files do make it to the blob, but for some reason the media library just blanks out on the thumbnails, etc.

    We have checked with WordPress 4.7 but thumbnails are loading fine for us. Can you check if there is any error in browser console or in server error log?

    I figured out that it was the “Smush” plugin by WPMU. I would like for the plugins to be able to work together, but it appears if an image is run through “Smush” it changes the URL of srcset images and makes it not render correctly.

    We are looking into it and will try to fix if the conflict in Azure plugin. If not, you should also inform Smush plugin developers to look into this.

    We managed to fix the conflict in Azure plugin and code is available at https://github.com/10up/windows-azure-storage/tree/fix/smush-conflict. Can you take a spin and let us know if that fixes the issue? Please check with new uploads.

    That does appear to work for new uploads, but doing a “smush” for existing images just fails.

    Actually, that plugin fix doesn’t work. It appears to work from the back-end, but if you try to insert the image, it shows nothing.

    Yes, that fix will work for new uploads only. Can you try regenerating thumbnails which might fix the issue.

    From where you are trying to insert the image and shows nothing? I tried in post edit but it’s working fine.

    I did see it, but when I tried it it did not work. Also it doesn’t appear to work when you just run Smush on old uploads.
