Appears to be broken in WordPress 4.0

From what I am seeing this appears to be broken in WordPress 4.0. When you click the add media button on the front end editor form, it opens the window where you can add media, but does not display or give you access to any of the media that has been uploaded.

Also none of the new embed functionality in wp 4.0 seems to work.
