Appearance menu missing ?!

    The Appearance menu is completely missing from Network Admin. How do I add new child themes without it? Or how can I make the Appearance menu come back?

  • Hi there,

    It perhaps a little confusing, but there isn’t an Appearance menu in the Network Admin. To upload themes, you look under Themes > Add New. Unlike plugins, which has the same label in both, the section is called Themes for network admin and Appearance for site admins. I think, though, the best way to upload child themes is via ftp. Once uploaded, you can make tweaks using the theme editor in the network admin.

    Thanks for the feedback Pali,

    Turns out it was a collision between a plugin and the Network Admin menu system. It was hiding the Themes menu item. Switched it off and pop. Menu is back.
