Appearance editor shows only the default html, no other html code is visible.

    My appearance editor is showing only the html for the theme as if it had no content added yet.
    Any html for adsense ads, blogroll links , or anything that i added myself is missing.
    What’s funny is that , when you go to the site everything is in place. Anything that i added is visible on the site itself, but the appearance editor has none of the code for anything that i added.

    It was all there at one time , but for a couple months now it has been missing. I am scared to update the editor in fear that i will lose all the content added. I did the upgrade and still the editor is missing all the content. But i don’t want to update anything.

    Has anyone heard of this , if so any solutions.

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems?

    well tried deactivating all the plugins and the html is still missing.

    Its weird, has anyone ever heard of this problem happening.

    I afraid to add anything to the editor, because then i will have to update it and then may lose everything that is on the site but not showing in the editor.
