On the sites that I have Sucuri installed, the “Editor” buttons in the sidebar menu under Appearance and Plugins are missing. I assume it is a security thing but even when I deactivate Sucuri, they are still missing. Can I get these back? Or do I need to now work with with via FTP?

    Help?

  • Open your wp-config.php file and delete a constant called “DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT”. The Sucuri plugin has a hardening option that places that constant in there, only if an admin requests the hardening, but other plugins can do the same so it is impossible to tell if the editor was disabled by an admin using the Sucuri plugin or something else. Delete that constant from the configuration and you will see the editor again.

That worked. Thank you very much.
