    Hi,
I’m running a WP 4.1.1 Multisite with Child Theme Configurator, 1.7.2.1.

I have created three child themes, all of difference parent themes.

However, if I want to copy files from the parent theme or want to delete them from the child theme something goes wrong. It basically only lets me add/delete files from the last created child theme.

    So for example:
I have child theme A created from parent theme 1, child theme B created from parent theme 2 and child theme C created from parent theme 3.

When I go to Child Themes in the admin section, under parent/child it shows child theme C with parent theme 3. If I change the child theme to B or A, nothing happens. If I go the Files tab and add or delete files (having selected either A or B under parent/child), the files are instead copied from parent theme 3 or deleted from C.

If under parent/child I select child theme B, as mentioned nothing happens. The parent theme value remains 3 (so the one linked to child theme C). If I then change the parent theme value to 2 or 1, the page reloads and the value changes, but the child theme value is reset to C.

The only way I can break this circle is if I select a different parent theme (i.e. 1), then a different child theme (A) and then regenerate/rebuild files. Then going to the files tab will actually allow me to modify child theme A.

I’m thinking this is either a bug, or it functions in a really rather weird and complex way.

Any feedback from the developer is appreciated.

    Joff,

It is neither a bug nor complex. It is a limitation of CTC.

CTC only stores configuration data for one child theme at a time. To work on a different child theme, you must create or select a new child theme and “Generate/Rebuild”.

If there is demand for this functionality, it will be added to the Pro version.
