Just wondered if there is a PHP Malware Malicious etc codes scanner i could use / run if my sites are FTP download to my computer. Locally? Just Like the outstanding WordPress Security Plugin WordFence for websites!

as of course normal AV software (e.g. i use mcAfee / Malware Bytes) won’t touch them or rather see any bad code?

as i Search the internet and – done trust the sites that come on after a search google / bing etc

    Hi @pg-fun,

If copies of your websites are running on a local web server and the Wordfence plugin can send and receive data from noc1.wordfence.com, then you can scan using Wordfence. However, scanning a downloaded version of site files in a local folder alone would not be possible this way.

There are plenty of guides online showing how to set up a local development web server if you do wish to take that route.

    Thanks,

    Peter.
