App ID field not appearing

I saw a few other threads on this topic but all seemed to be closed without resolution, so I’m hoping someone can help me out.
I keep getting a message on admin pages asking me to put in my Facebook app ID, but when I click through to the Facebook Comments Settings, there’s no field visible to input the app id.
Any assistance would be much appreciated.
