The area you are referring to is for setting CONDITIONALS
Using the Shortcodes in Display Settings.

The application template is set-up with default settings as soon as the plugin is activated.

This setting allows you to define the template for displaying the application form. If you’re happy with the current application form, just leave this blank, as you’ll need to update it each time you add a new field to the application form.

If you want to modify – add or delete form fields you do this via the App Form Settings Tab.

More information Customizing the form can be found here

Styling of the form is via your default theme or by adding the display css from Job Manager to your themes style sheet.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi,

That doesn’t help me at all, actually. “…if you’re happy with the current application form, just leave this blank…” leave what blank? There’s nothing to leave blank in this section except the conditionals spot.

So in short, I have no idea what you’re talking about and the documentation isn’t useful for this aspect.

I realize I can stylize to a degree with CSS, but I can’t create any html tables or anything to change the way the items are displayed (i.e. having some items on the same row).

    Thank You,
    Josh

    Josh,

That part I was referring to “leave what blank?” is the area for the Short Code conditionals. They are NOT required.

When you activate the plugin, we pre-set up a “basic” FORM – look at the App Form Settings.

Name, Address, Phone Number etc. Now view the front end.

    https://www.yourdomain.com/jobs/apply/

You can now see how the “basic form is structured”

Here is a short video that might help better visualize what I am talking about.

Training Videos are something in the works.

So from all that what I can ascertain is that it is NOT possible to do what I want — i.e. create a custom html table so that I can have multiple fields appear on the same row, among other things?

Meaning, there’s no box within the plugin to modify the template itself like there is to modify the job listings template and the individual job template? (I don’t just want to add or remove fields.. thats simple).

Not at present. I am working on testing an app that will allow custom styling to the Jobs and Apps fields so that you can line them up Horizontal as your suggesting.

About a week to 2 out before I can release it…still testing..

I understand your frustration, I am working with legacy code and have to maintain backwards compatibility as I move to add more features …it’s also slow going when your a one man band….

awesome! I look forward to seeing that released!
