App code keys

  • Hello again!

    I’m wondering about the freedom to upgrade the apps that I create with the plugin. Of course you don’t send the app source code, but I’m thinking about the code signing keys. Do you create a new key for each site and send the keys or will you use your own keys?

    I’m asking that because if I create an app using wordapp and in 5 or 10 years you discontinue the plugin or decide that now I have to pay 500 usd per month to keep using the plugin and upgrade the app to new versions, will I have the choice to just create another app, sign it with the same key and upload to the app stores as an upgrade or I’ll need to create a new app and try to migrate the users from the wordapp one to it.

    We create a sperate key for each app and store the key for you. If you require the key just drop me an email.

    Sure, I totally understand. We try to keep as transparent as possible and yes you can migrate. All the app data is stored on your server and I will happily send you the key which is signed for 99 years :).
