Apostrophes in BuddyPress Slugs for CSV Import

    I understand that ‘Import Users from CSV with Meta’ does not reformat BuddyPress (BP) Extra Profile (xProfile) fields, but where a BP xProfile field name contains a necessary apostrophe, e.g.

    Pet’s Name

    …then data fails to import to that field if either the BP xProfile field or the column heading of the imported CSV file contains an apostrophe.

    The only solution seems to be to remove apostrophes at both ends, and then re-name the BP xProfile field appropriately after import.
