Apostrophes

  • I was looking back at some older pages, the apostrophes and quotation marks are now replaced with variations of…a€?

    My quotes widget, admittedly old, substitutes a \’ for a ‘ in all new quotes added.

    Has something changed about how WP deals with these symbols? Have I been hacked?

    Help appreciated. As well as a possible remedy that I could do in a text editor.

    I should add that the quotes thing started after the 4.0 upgrade. Roughly, since i don’t add new ones every day. And I think the issue in the older posts is related.

    I don’t know if it’s okay to post a link to the posts, but if it is I have no issue doing so. I don’t sell ad space or make any money from my site.
