Using apostrophe’s in Tags is OK when searching Browsing records in Admin but when used in shortcodes results in the spinning cogwheel. An example of the faulty shortcode is as follows:
    [zotpress style=”harvard1″ sortby=”author” sort=”ASC” showimage=”yes” download=”yes” title=”yes” tags=’Worm’s Head Cave’ target=”new”]

I think I’ve found the source and will have a fix in 7.1.3. Apologies!

    Hi Katie

Just to say that this still does not work for me. I amended the tag so it did not give errors but left the following to test

    [zotpress style=”harvard1″ sortby=”author” sort=”ASC” showimage=”yes” download=”yes” title=”yes” tags=”Deborah’s Cliff Shelter” target=”new”]

Am currently getting the sinning cogwheel. Any ideas as to what to try net gratefully received.

Can you share the link? This is working on my end.

Spinning cog still in FireFox but following error message in MS Edge
There was a Zotpress error: No items found.

One idea: For the tag name, is it a regular apostrophe or a stylized one? They have to match (in Zotero and in the written shortcode).

I thought of that and originally copied the tag text from the Zotpress Brouse page. I have now copied exactly what was used in Zotero but no change. The only differnce is that the Bibliography lists in MS Edge not only shows the following shorter error messgae:

    No items found.

How about the tag in Zotero (item metadata) itself?

Sorry for the delay. Alas, still no change

Instead of copying, can you try typing manually? Everything has to be plain text. You’re using the HTML mode or shortcode block, right?

    Thread Starter paviland

    (@paviland)

Yes. Can confirm HTML mode … typed out, rechecked … but no change

So I think this must not be related to apostrophes, then. Must be something else. This might sound random, but do your items have a lot of (other) tags?

    Thread Starter paviland

    (@paviland)

Some of them do. In this case there are only two references ATM against this record, each with about 20+ tags. However, I have another reference for a different record for which there is an apostrophe contaning tag … but that is the only tag for that reference.
