• I have weird error. When I place an apostrophe in the page title for static page it disappears. What makes this error even more strange, is if I place the html code ' in the title it will work on the first update, but then the next time I edit the post an apostrophe is in the title instead of the html code resulting in the apostrophe disappearing again when i update the post…

    html code & # 3 9 ; in the apostrophe’s place

I think that’s deliberate. The page title is often used to create the permalink (url) and the url schema doesn’t support apostrophes.

The page title is Alzheimer’s Care

however I have the page slug and URL set to alzheimers-care

It still shows the apostrophe on post edit page, just not on the published page. I don’t understand why its converting the html code for an apostrophe to the plain symbol in the editing page. I have other wordpress sites that don’t do this. I wonder if its a setting.

I have the same problem but it only occurs when using a particular theme (Jenny). It doesn’t happen with other themes I’ve tried. Entering alt+ 0146 doesn’t help either though I’ve read others have had success with a similar problem.
