• Hi,
    I’m new ??
I have made a template with Artisteer, exported it in WordPress and now I am working on it. Everything seems to work fine except for the error on my homepage:
    NOT FOUND
Apologies, but the page you requested could not be found.

I have tried many things to fix it but I am not able to get rid of it.
THE solution would be much appreciated!

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    Thanks.
Nope, nothing seems wrong with the plugins.
All themes I use have the same error.

In the Twenty Eleven theme I don’t see nothing…just the error text:
    NOT FOUND
Apologies, but the page you requested could not be found.
All other themes show the content I’ve made +
    NOT FOUND
Apologies, but the page you requested could not be found
    .
Surfing the internet I see a great deal of website with this error text by the way
Must take a real WordPress specialist to solve this?

Nope, nothing seems wrong with the plugins.

Sorry, it’s unclear if you’ve done all three steps as suggested:

    – Did you deactivate all the plugins via the dashboard

    – Switch to the Twenty Eleven theme

    – And reset the plugins folder

    Hopefully not. ??

Can you share the link with us here?

Edit: I’m getting slow. I totally missed this part.

All other themes show the content I’ve made +

Emphasis is mine. There is something wrong with the theme or the settings if your other themes show the content.

I’ve installed WordPress again. And guess what: no poblem anymore.
