I had the Woocommerce plugin working for the last 3 years. The latest update on the official Woocommerce Braintree plugin causes my site to have a critical error.

I wanted to try your plugin, but now when I’m trying to access the settings > API area, and I get the message: You do not have the proper authorization for this request.

I seem to recall this happening last time too but I can’t recall the workaround because it was 3 years ago.

    Hi @timnethersgmailcom

Are you encountering that error when you click the Braintree Gateway link on the WordPress Admin navigation menu?

The settings pages require the manage_woocommerce permission.

    Kind Regards,

No, the API screen on the Braintree website. I’m full admin for the wordpress site, so permissions are not an issue onsite.

@timnethersgmailcom You should reach out to Braintree support if you can’t access the API screen within the Braintree control panel.

If you are not the account owner, then you most likely need to have the account owner add the proper permissions to your user within the Braintree > Gear Icon > Team > Manage Roles page.
