Do you know if the api for the plugin can be updated to the latest version as on my stripe account it shows that version 2019-09-09 is being used?

Additionally the latest version 2024-06-20 appears to be not be used although it is being listed in the developers options. Also the webhook appeared to stop working after the update of the api version from 2024-04-10 to 2024-06-20 on the stripe plugin.

  • Hey there, @alexakhter! Thanks for contacting us. I’m happy to help you.

Yes, you are correct; our plugin uses the 2019-09-09 version by default. However, you can update the API version on your Stripe account’s developers dashboard without affecting the Stripe WooCommerce Extension.

    More info: https://woo.com/document/stripe/troubleshooting/api-version/

We are currently working on updating this, while we still don’t know when exactly this will change, our team is doing its best to be as soon as possible ??

Also the webhook appeared to stop working after the update of the api version from 2024-04-10 to 2024-06-20 on the stripe plugin.

To confirm, you updated the API and the webhook stoped working?

Can you share more information about the issue with us?

Are you seeing any error messages? If so, can you share a screenshot of it with us? I recommend using https://snipboard.io. You can share the direct link to the image as a response to this topic.

Can you also please share a screenshot of what you see on WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > Stripe > Settings > Account details?

Which version of the Stripe plugin are you using?

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Have a wonderful day!

Well it appears so as nothing is showing up on the events and logs.

GET /v1/tokens/ and POST /v1/tokens/ have appeared on Stripe logs although nothing for the webhooks.

Warning: The most recent live webhook, received at 2024-07-08 01:21:11 UTC, could not be processed. Reason: The webhook was not signed with the expected signing secret. (The last live webhook to process successfully was timestamped 2024-07-04 00:08:35 UTC.)?

The error above I get is on “settings> payments> settings account details”. Is there part of WordPress that I can use to send a webhook request as the “account keys & webhook” test connection comes up all green ticks?

Yes, you are correct; our plugin uses the 2019-09-09 version by default.

    Hi @alexakhter

This could be due to a mismatch between the signing secret on your WooCommerce site and the one on your Stripe account. Can you please disconnect and reconnect your Stripe account? Or reconfigure the webhooks following this guide: https://woocommerce.com/document/stripe/setup-and-configuration/stripe-webhooks/

While configuring webhook in Stripe, make sure you choose all the required events as mentioned here: https://woocommerce.com/document/stripe/setup-and-configuration/stripe-webhooks/#choose-events

4 Years to get it update past 2019-09-09 version?

Our plugin uses the 2019-09-09 version by default because it’s stable and compatible with most WooCommerce setups. However, if you need to use a more recent version, you can do so by following the guide shared here: https://woocommerce.com/document/stripe/troubleshooting/api-version/

I hope this provides some clarity. Please let us know if you have any other questions!
