API usage rate limit exceeded

    Hi after the first 10 wordpress posts posted automatically on twitter I get status “complete with errors” with the detail “API usage rate limit exceeded”.

    Is there a limit to free version of your plugin regarding daily tweets? Maybe, is there an hourly limit?

    Hi @kwstaskouts , that’s correct, after the Twitter API changes in April we were forced to change how many tweets we could allow per site. The new limits are posted in our KB article at https://automatorplugin.com/knowledge-base/twitter/, and it depends on the type of app you’re using. Since it sounds like you used our app, you would be limited to 5 tweets per day.

    Sorry about that. We wish we didn’t have to impose low limits like that too, but we’re at least one of the few plugins that is still supporting posting after the Twitter changes.
