#### API UPDATED ####

  • I just noticed these ‘API UPDATED’ messages in log/history.

    Does it mean that it automatically updates the plugin, or some part of it? And if so, how to disable the automatic update?

    We are deploying updates to multiple servers and ONLY using our version control, so automatic updates is definitely a NO in our case.

    I think the plugin should provide updates only through www.remarpro.com repository, or respect the value of AUTOMATIC_UPDATER_DISABLED in wp-config.php.

    sonnycool, please stop posting in every thread. This thread has nothing to do with your problems.

    Parham, “Pro” plugin uses external APIs for Google+ and Pinterest. Due to the nature of those APIs plugin has a dynamic update mechanism for them.

    Those updates do not touch any functionality of the plugin itself. The plugin is getting updates though the standard www.remarpro.com repository as any other plugin.

    The reason why it’s done this way.

    Google or Pineterest can change it’s interface at any time and they do it quite often. Sometimes they do it several times per day. Any interface update to Google or Pineterest breaks API. We really can’t make people to download/upload API files or install new plugin version several times per day, so those API files are getting updated automatically.
