    Hello,
    I use MailChimp for WooCommerce since 6 months and never had a problem.
    I tried to install the plug-in WPForms which has a mailchimp addon, but since I have an issue in the MailChimp extension:

    Mailchimp says: API Request Error – on 1665 in /home/labellebvd/www/wp-content/plugins/mailchimp-for-woocommerce/includes/api/class-mailchimp-api.php

    The line 1665 is

     if ($info['http_code'] >= 500) {
                throw new MailChimp_WooCommerce_ServerError($data['detail'], $data['status']);
            }

    I can’t use Mailchimp in WP FORMS or in the official plug-in.

    Please advise.
    Thank you
    Laureen

    @laureenschein thanks for writing in. We’ll be glad to see if we can get this squared away for you. The log that you’re referring to above, is that something you’ve seen in the Mailchimp For WooCommerce plugin logs?

    Do you know if the plugin WPForms is using our plugin to to make API requests? We’re not familiar with this particular plugin but we can take a look to see if it’s something easy to spot.

    Can you please explain the flow of how this happens? Also – is it impacting your front end experience somehow, or is it that your records just don’t seem to make it into Mailchimp?

    Thanks we’ll look out for your reply.

    Hi @ryanhungate Thank you for your quick response.
    Yes this log is in the MailChimp for WooCommerce logs. I could send you a screenshot. In the backend when I go on the MailChimp extension, everything is white with the error message in red. I can’t do anything, I can’t change the API key, I can’t click on any button.

    I sent a message to the WP Form support to check the issue with them.

    This is happening for the first time. I just did the new update today and I tried to use WP Form.

    @laureenschein ok I have a feeling that we might find a better error from within your Woo logs directly. Going to Woo -> Status -> Logs -> find today’s log file… please send that over to ryan (at) vextras.com and I’ll take a closer look for you there. Yes also please send a screenshot if you feel that might help too.

    @laureenschein as we’ve found in your screenshot – you’re getting the Akamai 503 status code which means your server has somehow been blacklisted. This is a very common problem when using shared IP addresses.

    In order to fix the problem – you will have to put your site on a dedicated IP address. Doing so will give your domain a new public address for outbound network calls to the Akamai gateway service.

    I’m going to close this out because we’re communicating over email / Mailchimp support and we’re positive that this is the problem that needed to be addressed.

    Hi! Just want to let you know that I tried to use a VPN to connect and it seems to be working now. But the new syncing is very very long.
