• Hi there,

I have followed your instructions to address the quota limitation issue. I have created several new APIs from different users…. but the quota is too low for my traffic and I’m reaching the quota pretty quickly every day, which means that users see the “loading…” message and can’t access the videos.

It seems that the Youchannel plugin is good solution for small traffic websites but not suitable for larger ones.

What can I do to increase the API quota? Could you please provide some instructions on how to do it?.

I’m happy to pay for the API resources I’m using.

Hi, I remember your email too, and you have 1440 in the Cache Duration field. Doesn’t it show videos even when the API is crossing limits? It should be showing videos from cache.

And how many YourChannel shortcodes do you have? I can’t see how it’s crossing limits with your current settings.

Hi, Yes, emailed you 5 days ago and posted here again as I didn’t hear back.

My current cache duration is set to 1440 (=24h) – What should I set it up to?

As soon as the the API limits is exceeded, I get the message “loading…” and the videos are not showing anymore.

I only have one shortcode set up for yourchannel.

Please let me know what else I can do.

I have sent you 2 emails in the last few days. Could you please assist in sorting the quota limit issue? Thanks.

Hi, this is really weird, no other users have told me about this issue. How often are you uploading videos? Try entering 2880 in Cache Duration field, it’ll check for new videos every 2 days.

We upload no more than one new video a week.
I’ll change the cache duration as directed.

This really shouldn’t have happened, I’ll try to fix it in the next version. Thanks for your patience.

I already had cache duration set at 2880 (2days) so I increased it to a 10080 (1 week).

I don’t have experience with the extension but read some forums posts regarding it and most people didn’t have good experience with it. You can try.

Unfortunately I’ll have to deactivate your plugins until this is fixed as the downtime is negatively impacting my user experience.
