API Login

Hello. This plugin requires a First Data merchant account with an Authorize.Net gateway. The API Login and Security Key are found in the Authorize.Net account settings page.

An Authorize.net gateway is required? What the hell is that? NOWHERE in this plugin’s description is it stated that an Authorize.net gateway is required. Let me quote the requirements as stated from this plugin’s page on www.remarpro.com:

Requirements
A First Data Merchant Account is required.

Paid Memberships Pro has native support for the Authorize.net gateway. It is the FirstData (Payeezy gateway) that is not. Therefore, anyone who needs to use that gateway is going to find this plugin and install it only to find that it doesn’t work.

So that begs the question, why are you not being up front with people about the Authorize.net gateway requirement? It almost appears that the purpose of this plugin is to sell some Merchant Accounts on behalf of CardPaySolutions.

We will update the requirements on our description page to make the Authorize.Net gateway requirement clear. We developed this plugin for our own clients that wanted to use PMP and to make it clear to other First Data merchants that it is possible to use PMP (via an Authorize.Net gateway). The Payeezy gateway that you mentioned does not support API based recurring billing so it can not possibly work with PMP. We obviously would have used that if possible.
