API Keys not working

    Hi

    My API keys have randomly stopped working in the plugin. When I go to save them it says they cannot be saved.

    Can you please advise how to fix this?

    That is quite odd. Do you get any error messages when you try to resave them?

    Also, in order for us to get a better idea of your site setup, could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

    It just says error saving keys or something like that.

    I was alerted to the problem due to a pop up on my dashboard saying – “Your customers cannot use Stripe on checkout, because we couldn’t connect to your account. Please go to your settings and, set your Stripe account keys.”

    Based on what you have shared, it is very likely that their is a conflict taking place. To test this, you can do the following:

    – Create a backup of your site, as explained here. This is important so that you can restore the backup should the need arise.
    – Conflict Test to see if a plugin/custom code is causing this issue. You can follow this guide to see how to conflict test.

    If you conflict test and find that the error persists, please contact us at WooCommerce.com > My Account > Support. You may need to create an account before you can access that page.

    I checked our bug reports but did not find anything that looks related. In my experience saving problems often are connected to Javascript conflicts so I am all ?? for your conflict testing.

    I have just checked the site again and under accounts where the previous error was it now says that payments and payouts are enabled but that I need to “enter the webhook secret key for this to work properly” next to webhooks.

    I have checked my stripe account but can’t see where to access the webhook secret key, can you please advise?

    Hi @chiape

    I’m sorry if I am not understanding but I already have that webhook URL in my stripe dashboard (on the stripe website)

    What I can see Woocommerce – Settings – Payments – Stripe is asking for is a webhook secret key (see image)

    Your keys, should be on https://dashboard.stripe.com/webhooks, you can click on the 3 dots, in front of your Hosted endpoints to get their details.

    Since this is related to your keys, and this is a public forum, can you please contact us at WooCommerce.com > My Account > Support.

    You may need to create an account before you can access that page.

    While we appreciate that you will contact us directly using the ticket, I would like to share how you can get your webhook secret key.

    – First, navigate to your webhook: https://dashboard.stripe.com/webhooks
    – Click on the webhook of your site. I assume it says “https://yogipod.co.uk/?wc-api=wc_stripe”
    – Then click on the “Reveal” link and copy-paste the secret to your WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > Stripe > Manage > Settings > Edit account keys:

    Make sure that you are using the correct webhook secret for the test account and the live account.
