    Hello,
I use SendGrid smtp service to send emails from Mailpoet 2. SendGrid has switched to API Keys 2 days ago and I am unable to send emails any more. I have generated API Keys but I have nowhere to input them in Mailpoet 2. Is this possible or will I need to switch now to MailPoet 3?

    Thank you,
    Sinisa

  • I have the same problem. A response would be appreciated. Mailpoet 2 seems to want to use “apikey” as your SendGrid login name to use the API Key method. Obviously that won’t work, since my SendGrid login ID is different, and the login to SendGrid fails.

    Hey @sinialpha and @asegar2,

You’re right. Due to recent changes done by SendGrid, when 2FA is enabled you can’t use the SMTP authentication method in MailPoet 2.

You must switch to the API-based one, and this is only available in MailPoet 3.

We’re not planning on making any changes to MailPoet 2 as we no longer work on supporting and developing this old version of our plugin.

You can read about migrating to the new version here: How to Migrate from Version 2 to Version 3.

We will be happy to assist you if you need any help with it.

    Thanks!
