api key nowhere to be found

    I have an account and a working wordpress site. I have not received a welcome mail, and thus haven’t received an API. My API is not available on my dashboard either. I installed via an auto install at bluehost. How can I get one?

    You need to sign up at wordpress.COM to get the key. See these instructions.

    Hi I have 2 wordpress directories. In one I have Akismet working in the other it requires WordPress API. It doesn’t matter in what instance I log into, there is no API in My Profile, i.e. not even in the one where Akismet is working.
    Can you help?

    The WordPress API key would be in the profile of your wordpress.COM account.

    wordpress API key is not working individual hosting accounts so u need to purchase Akismet Commercial
