This error started on April 26. We’ve been using it for over a year. When I go to the settings page for the plugin, it’s an empty page with this error:

Mailchimp says: API Request Error – API Key Invalid :: Your API key may be invalid, or you’ve attempted to access the wrong datacenter. on 1858 in /nas/content/live/housingva/wp-content/plugins/mailchimp-for-woocommerce/includes/api/class-mailchimp-api.php

I tried deactivating the plugin. I tried rolling back to the previous version of the plugin. No change.

Here’s the log from the error on 4/26.

2021-04-26T17:30:51+00:00 ERROR api.list :: Error retrieving list for double_optin check

What can we do to fix? Thank you.

@lsterling03 if this has happened to you, you’re unfortunately going to have to re-install the plugin.

Things that could possibly have been a problem:

    1. Did you by chance have someone help with your Mailchimp account and then remove them?

    2. Did you happen to do a database rollback?

Either way at this stage you’ll have to uninstall and reinstall the plugin I’m afraid. You’ll also need to make sure that Mailchimp delete’s the “old store” from your account to make sure you don’t have duplicate stores getting in the way.

Please let us know if you’re running into any trouble – but also make sure to hop on your Mailchimp support ticket while you’re logged into your account and they’ll be more than happy to get you all squared up!

Well thank you. But this was a month ago. Is this forum not the correct place to get help with your plugin?

We did end up deleting and reinstalling the plugin when nothing else worked, and that did resolve the issue. So hopefully this will be helpful to others.

    Thanks!

@lsterling03 thanks for the heads up on this. The best way to get help right away would be by logging into your Mailchimp account and request support there… but yes we do monitor these threads too as time permits.

This specific post just happened to get missed for whatever reason and we do apologize for not reaching out sooner. Typically this does not happen. ??
