Api Key for blog

i have a big problem with it.
i recently install the wordpress into my server web, but when i want to use the Stats plugin, these sayme the api key…
i’ll sing up in wordpress and when i copy tha api key and paste to my server don’t work!!
what is the problem??
my server is into Lycos.es
