    Hi support,

I just installed BruteProtect on a number of WordPress sites. API key has already been set up but the widget on the Dashboard still says “You have not yet entered a valid BruteProtect API key”.

Clicking the link opens the BruteProtect config page where it says “API key verified! Your BruteProtect account is active and your site is protected, you don’t need to do anything else!”

Can you advise what could be wrong here?

    Thanks,
    Matt

Hi Matt– this is an issue that we’ve seen with a few hosts, and we’ve addressed it in BruteProtect 1.0, which is just in final testing, and we’re hoping to have it ready this weekend. If you’d like to help test, please shoot me an email: sam at brute protect dot com

    Hi Sam,

Thanks for the reply. I’m interested in helping test the new version.

If it’s any help, I’m using Dreamhost which uses PHP 5.3 FastCGI.

    Regards,
    Matt
