Hello, Jordy. I have a question, as you know, China and USA relation is a little “strange” in these year. Openai forbid Chinese register their account because USA goverement policy, And China forbid Chinese visit openai api and website.

My question, if one day, openai api forbid Chinese IP visit also, is your plug still work for Chinese IP? If my host is not in China. My host ip is USA ip?

    Hi @leonlee888,

    Haha, indeed, it’s a very mysterious relationship… :'(

My plugin doesn’t mind your IP address is Chinese or not, and as long as your hosting service is “okay” with OpenAI, that will work. A Chinese IP address can go on that website, and use the chatbot for example; it’s no problem. In the logs, we’ll see the IP in China, but the requests to the OpenAI API will be totally okay, because only the IP from the hosting service is seen by OpenAI.

It is great, That is why I hear some other AI website in China have to closed, their api key is forbid.

I hate those political games, and believe that humanity should be able to enjoy the many conveniences brought by technology in order for society to progress.

So we name our AI products “Prometheus”

I agree with you 200%! Also, I believe if a country wants their people/companies to get better and create their own solutions, they should help them.

You are going the right way with Prometheus! ??
