• Hello,

I am looking to do an API Integration between Guesty and wprentals WordPress template.

Guesty is a PMS, meaning a property management system, for short term rentals.

Under my account there are listings like on Airbnb with all the related information, configuration and etc.

The WordPress template I would like to use is called wprentals (wprentals.org).

Guesty has an API documentation at docs.guesty.com. They have created an enhanced version called Booking Engine API that they still don’t have the full documentation ready, but the team there is very helpful.

Let me know what other elements I could send so you can better understand the project.

    Thank you!

At their heart, WP themes manage your site’s appearance and would not offer any specific functionality like bookings. Functionality like short term bookings would typically be managed by a separate plugin. Thus any theme could be used with this plugin. It appears wprentals does more than manage appearance. It appears to have its own booking scheme. You could choose to not use it in favor of a separate booking plugin, only utilizing the theme’s appearance management features.

I assume Guesty doesn’t have a WP plugin that will interact with their API? If there is not one, one could be custom developed. You could instead choose to attempt to integrate Guesty API into wprentals booking functionality. How well that would work depends on how wprentals was written.

We’re unable to give detailed advice on commercial themes like wprentals. If you need further guidance with that theme, I recommend seeking help through the theme’s dedicated support channel.

    Hello, thanks for your response.

Yes, building a WordPress plugin to do the task seems like a good approach.

If I understand correctly, Guests does the payment processing. The API integration would make the necessary connections.

I’m sorry to hear that you can’t help in my specific case.

    Thanks anyway!
