API

  • I have recently downloaded and installed WordPress correctly. I need help on this API Code. I do not have one? How may I get one?

  • you get it from WP.com site. Sign up there, establish a blog and you will get an API key for Akismet and stats. Yes it sounds weird but that is what you need to do.

    Also, you can search here for more info but it pretty much is what I said above.

    i followed these steps, received an api code from wp.com, entered it into plug-in at wp.org. I’m still getting spam, and ‘Akismet not active’ message at top, but the plug-in page shows ‘de-activate’ for akismet — what have i done wrong?
