    APCu vis PHP should work according my hosting provider. WordPress site health seems to have a different opinion: “Your hosting provider can tell you if persistent object caches are able to be enabled on your site. Your host appears to support the following object caching services: APCu, Redis.”

  • @pat2021 Thanks for getting in touch! The text “Your host appears to support the following object caching services: APCu, Redis.” seems to indicate to me that Performance Lab is properly detecting that APCu is supported by your hosting provider, as you said it is. Can you clarify how we can help here?

    I was wondering if the plugin works or not if I get this message in WP Site Health and why is this message shown in WP Site Health if there is no issue?

    @pat2021 Thanks for clarifying!

    This message displays as part of the “You should use a persistent object cache” Site Health result (screenshot). It doesn’t necessarily mean that anything is wrong with your site, but it’s possible that you could see increased performance if you enable persistent object caching.

    The message “Your host appears to support the following object caching services: APCu, Redis” indicates that Performance Lab has detected that your hosting provider supports those services, but they are not currently enabled on your site. So the best next step would be to reach out to your hosting provider to see what you or they need to do to enable APCu or Redis on your site.

    Let me know if you have any other questions!
