• Hello! I’m currently very confused. My school newspaper’s website (thematadorsghs.us) has a page appearing that is not our home page. It says ‘Apache2 Ubuntu Default Page’ and I have no idea how to fix it. There’s a configuration overview but I don’t quite get what all of this means. Is there a way to fix this? Where do I even start? We have a competition to enter in aa few days and this just happened. Please help I’ll be eternally grateful ??

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

There is probably an index.html or home.html file in the same directory as the WordPress index.php file. Remove the index.html or home.html file, either via SFTP or FTP or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel, and all should be fine.

If that doesn’t work, try adding this to the top of your .htaccess file:

    DirectoryIndex index.php index.html index.htm
