Apache Crash

  • Ok so everytime i try to run the install wordpress crashes my Apache, every time!
    And i have had this webserver (hmoe pc) running for aaagggeeess now!

    I have installed countless php software much bigger etc than wordpress, and never had apache crash.

    my System enviroment is
    Duel 3.2Ghx Processors 1gb Ram
    Apache/2.2.4 (Win32) DAV/2 mod_ssl/2.2.4 OpenSSL/0.9.8e mod_autoindex_color PHP/5.2.1

    I use Xampp as my server.

    Please can someone tell me what the hells going on!! and how to fix this!

    Hi i had the same problem.
    Follow the instructions at https://oss.segetech.com/wamp.html to the letter.
    I have tried several other installation instructions but these are the only ones that have worked.
    Make sure that all the comments are set properly in the php.ini and httpd.conf file and you have definately saved the changes!
    (Set the proper file directories, etc).

    Apache 2.2.9 should be fine running with MySQL 5.0 (i use this so i can admin with MySQL GUI Admin and set the permissions for the user).

    My apache used to crash aswel but once i doubled checked everything in the instructions it worked fine.
