I have a contact form set on my site. I noticed this evening that a user with a yahoo.com email address had submitted one of the forms. It was in the Entries section, but I never received an email as I’d set the form to do. I tested it extensively afterwards using my own email addresses (of various domains). Then I tested it using an Yahoo address I own.

    Nothing came through.

I switched to an AOL address. Again, nothing came through.

A *Hotmail* address *did* go through, as did Gmail, my own domains, etc.

I noticed this in the tips section: “There is a hidden spam field, known as a honey pot, that should also help deter potential abusers of your form.” I’ll grant you that 99.9% of things that come from a Yahoo address are crap and an even bigger percentage from AOL fits that bill, but SOMETIMES there are legitimate people with those email addresses.

    Any help?

  • I am having this same problem with website visitors submitting forms from their Yahoo accounts not coming through. Was there any resolution to this?

    Hello,

Sorry for the delay in our reply! This is likely due to spam filters on the receiving emails end.. Like you said the entry is being recorded but not emailing, it is emailing but probably being blocked at the receiving email. Either on the email server or in a spam filter on the computer.

    Hope this helps.

No, actually, it doesn’t help. I have no spam filters blocking the responses for any Yahoo / AOL based emails.

Under the “details” section of the entry screen, it SAYS it was emailed to the proper email address, but the email is never received. (Yes, I’ve checked. It’s not being filtered our / shuffled to SPAM / redirected at the email account level in any way.)
