AO/Rapidload + GP Menu

  • Hi ?? Thank you for one of the best CLS-improving plugins out there!

    Our website run Autoptimize with RapidLoad to minify and aggregate scripts and remove unused CSS. This works fine, also when using Cloudflare Page cache.

    When activating Meteor we get incredible scores in Lighthouse! However, one major issue have come about: The mobile menu doesn’t work, nothing happens when clicking the toggler.

    I have tried to identify the scripts for the menu – we use GP Premium Mobile Menu as it suits the GeneratePress theme. And excluded the files. Didnt work, but I could see the files were excluded as intended, and was loaded in the browser. Disabling Meteor makes it come alive again, but I would love to have it working.

    It did look to me as if the RapidLoad crawler is actually the one to blame here. It may not be able to identify the right css to include/exclude when Meteor runs in front of the crawler. Ie. it looked like the CSS needed to toggle the menu was stripped by RapidLoad.

    1 – Is it possible to exclude User Agents from Meteor?
    2 – Do you have other suggestions for me to try to get the menu working?
