AO crashed Elementor site

  • After installing Autoptimize, my whole website loads white.
    I’ve unchecked everything JS,CSS,HTML,Images and I’ve uninstalled, cleared cache. Nothing is working. What happened?

    The site does sometimes load for me and is not all white (see https://imgur.com/a/oxOM52X), but it’s extremely slow and I also get “Service Unavailable – The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems.” sometimes.

    Now when the site does load, I still see references to Autoptimize in the HTML source, which -if AO is still inactive and/or uninstalled- indicates there is a page cache somewhere that still needs to be cleared?

    the extreme slowness & “service unavailable” errors seem to indicate that something “bigger” is going wrong here though, maybe get in touch with your host to hear what they have to say?
